How much does ARMIS weigh?

ARMIS weighs 37 lbs. per wheel, or 150 lbs. for a tandem axle fifth wheel or 220 lbs. for a triple axle trailer.

This weight counts toward your trailer's cargo carrying capacity, the same as anything else you add, so check it against the specification label on your RV. Because ARMIS mounts to the leaf spring U-bolts, it's carried by the axle and suspension rather than hung from the frame or body and to a low center of gravity providing a more stable towing experience.

Questions on this page

• How much does ARMIS add to a tandem axle fifth wheel? About 150 lbs., at 37 lbs. per wheel.

• How much does ARMIS add to a triple axle? About 220 lbs. for six wheels.

• Does the weight affect the suspension? No. fifth wheel suspension is design to support 12,000-20,000+ trailers (GVWR). Adding 160 or 220 lbs. respectively is less than 1% additional weight. In comparison, most fifth wheel trailers are rated to handle an about an additional 10% of additional cargo carrying capacity of the overall trailer weight but it should be taken in to consideration when loading your trailer.
