Remove the seven 10mm bolts, lift off the outer cover, and change the tire as you normally would. The cover goes back on with the same seven bolts.

1.       Park safely, chock the wheels and set up your jack or ramp as usual.

2.       Remove the seven 10mm bolts holding the outer cover.

3.       Lift the cover off and set it aside.

4.       Change the tire as normal.

5.       Refit the cover and tighten the seven bolts.

Questions on this page

  • Do I need special tools? A 10mm wrench or socket for the cover bolts, plus your normal tire-changing tools. DO NOT USE AN IMPACT SOCKET DRIVER. IF USING A CORDLESS SCREW GUN, ENSURE TO USE A LIGHT/MEDIUM CLUTCH SETTING.

  • Can I still access lug nuts with Armis installed? Yes, Armis doesn't cover the lug nuts.

  • Does it get in the way of wheel bearing or brake service? No, wheel bearing service requires removing the tire. This would require removing the optional faceplate before removing the tire, but the entire Armis assembly will not interfere with bearing or brake maintenance.

  • Does Armis interfere with TPMS? No. Armis doesn't prevent TPMS from broadcasting the signal to the receiver or phone bluetooth app. Physically it doesn't interact with the Armis optional faceplate.
